Carrie’s cousin’s wife Alison Whitlock is also putting together a scrapbook.  She wants to have stories of Carrie and Lucas for Ashley to read throughout her life.  Pictures are okay but the focus is on the story.  This goes out to any friends that would like to share a story of Carrie as a child, growing up, college years, etc…. Jim and Ashley are doing well.  Both have received good news from the doctors and are healing well.  Jim is out of his collar and looking very well.  Ashley still has her spunk and smiles a lot.  Sometimes she doesn’t understand why she’s being fussed over.  You got to love that girl.  But she’s back at school, attending Awana, and playing at the park.  God Bless the Pedersens.

Uniform will be Service Dress for all military members.For the agenda, expect 3 messages from the religious community (to include Chaplain Wade) and 5 minutes from Jim’s boss, LtCol Hoagland, representing the military community.  Also included are a few Praise and Worship songs and a 22 minute video with the theme being a “celebration of life.” 

Immediately following will be a reception at the Cornerstone annex.

We recognize that the memorial for Carrie and Lucas has been scheduled on a day when many children do not have school.  Childcare WILL BE  provided by the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Children’s Ministry and military spouse volunteers. 

Each room will have trained, licensed childcare providers to care for your children.  The facility is very spacious and professional.  There is a system already in place to reach parents in the Worship Center during the memorial should your child need care from you.  

Care will be available for children ages 0-5.  There will be no childcare available for children older than age 5.  

However, those older children ARE welcome to attend the memorial service at the discretion of their parents.

The Razorback Inn (LRAFB Billeting) may have Space-A rooms for military at $27/night.  Call (501) 987-6652/DSN 731-6652 for reservations. 

Plans are currently being made for a C-130 from Little Rock AFB to travel to Colorado Springs on Wednesday, January 16, for the funeral and burial of Carrie and Lucas.  Spouses are permitted to travel Space-A as long as they are accompanied by the military member; the military member must be on leave.  If you are eligible for Space-A travel and would like more information on this, please contact Jill Hoagland at jbhoag5@comcast.net. 

The Family Liaison Officer is working on plans for the funeral and burial arrangements, including lodging and passes, at the Air Force Academy.  When more information is made available, I’ll post it to this site.

Also, Victor Burgos is working on a video for the Pedersen memorial that will be held here in Little Rock.  If you sent photos to me, then I already forwarded them on to Victor.  If you have additional photos, please send them to Victor Burgos at ltvicjr2@yahoo.com.  Please label and put a date taken, if possible.  Victor has sent up this email account for this specific project.  He can’t guarantee the inclusion of all photos but he’ll do his best.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10.00 am at the Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs.  Internment will immediately follow after the ceremony.  In lieu of flowers being sent to the chapel, Jim asks that donations be made to the Pedersen Support Fund.  If you would like to make a donation, please use the following address:
